| Each system has been beautifully hand-painted, with the result that the slight artistic variations have created a truly one-of-a-kind appeal. This model, while keeping our core water values intact, is a significant redesign. It is made of ceramic, which is heavy, and will require carefully handling when cleaning as it will break if dropped. The Santevia™ Water System Ceramic Model has a smaller capacity than the countertop and dispenser systems and consists of a 4L (1 US gal) inner chamber nestled inside an 8L (2 US gal) outer chamber. The mineral stone post filter with bio ceramics rest on the bottom of the outer chamber. The design of this model requires a different but proven and tested filtration technology – the Doulton® Super Sterasyl Candle Filter. This 7 inch tall filter has an outer shell of ceramic impregnated with silver to be self sterilizing and an inner core of zeolite and granulated activated carbon (GAC). The base of the Doulton filter, along with its corresponding small nut, contains the minimal plastic found in this system. We are not able to offer a magnetic option as we cannot find a non-plastic solution for housing the aligned magnets. A stainless steel tap is provided. The Santevia™ Water System Ceramic Model cleans and mineralizes your water while adjusting the pH level to mildly alkaline.
